YOU DON'T NEED A GYM


You never would expect an email newsletter from a gym would tell you that you don't need a gym! But, we aren't ashamed to tell you the whole truth, so here we go. 

You don't need a gym to live a healthy lifestyle, but you do need these three things. 

Plan

Fail to plan, plan to fail. Nobody disagrees with having a plan to see success in a certain area. Since you plan your finances, plan your career path, plan your wedding day - it makes sense you want a plan for your health and wellness goals, right?

Most people don't have a plan, so they do random exercise activities, eat the trendy new thing, subscribe to the guru's channel, and in the end, continue to chase some elusive health goal that they've never actually defined. 

It might be time to ask yourself, how is my wellness journey going? Am I making consistent progress toward my desired outcome? Or do I jump all in, all out, and have a pattern of long-term burnout?

You don't need a gym, but you do need a plan!

Coach

Everyone is an expert in all subjects - sike! It's easy to admit that you are not an expert in a field that you've never studied. It's silly to think you can become a self-taught fitness expert without any help. 

Going out for a jog? You should hire a coach to make sure you have the correct running form because running has a higher rate of injury than traditional exercise!! 

Trying to be an expert in a field you might lack expertise is a recipe for disaster. Having a coach to help guide you along your plan will ensure you safely reach your destination. 

You don't need a gym, but you need a coach! 

Accountability 

All safety regulations require a double-check. Why? Because we are prone to error. Accountability isn't about harsh punishment or tongue lashings. On the contrary, accountability is about allowing someone else to help you. 

The day you are ready to hit the snooze button but then realize that your friend is going to ask you about your workout later on motivates you to get out of bed because you are accountable. Accountability is best used as an intrinsic motivational tool. By implanting a more profound reason to execute in your psyche, you'll have high success. 

You don't need a gym, but you need accountability! 

A plan + a coach + accountability = success

Every once in a while, ask yourself, "How's it going?" Think about how much you value your wellness and determine if you are headed on the right track.
