Spring Clean Your Fitness Routine: A Simple Plan to Start Fresh

Spring Clean Your Fitness Routine: A Simple Plan to Start Fresh

Spring is here! The days are longer. The sun feels warmer. Flowers are starting to bloom. It’s a fresh start all around—and it’s the perfect time to give your fitness routine a little spring cleaning, too.

If winter had you feeling a little stuck, tired, or off track, you’re not alone. A lot of people slow down in the colder months. The good news? Spring makes it easier to start fresh and build new healthy habits.

Here’s why:

  • There’s more daylight, so you have more energy.
  • The weather is nicer, so you can get outside and move more.
  • Life feels lighter in spring. You can use that energy to make healthy changes!

Ready for a fresh start? Here’s a simple plan to spring clean your fitness routine and feel your best.

Step 1: Keep It Simple

You don’t need a fancy workout plan. You don’t need to spend hours in the gym.
Start with short workouts that make you feel good! Even 20-30 minutes is plenty.
Try things like:

  • A fast walk outside
  • A fun 9Round kickboxing workout
  • A quick bodyweight strength workout (push-ups, squats, lunges!)

Step 2: Add Some Fresh Foods

Spring is a great time to eat fresh! Look for colorful fruits and veggies at the store.
Try adding:

  • Berries to your breakfast
  • A handful of spinach to your lunch
  • An orange or some carrots for a snack
And don’t forget to drink more water! Warmer weather means we need to stay hydrated.

Step 3: Get Outside

The sun is out, and it feels so good! Take your movement outside when you can.

  • Go for a walk or jog
  • Do some stretching in the backyard
  • Take a deep breath of that fresh spring air
Being outside boosts your mood and your energy!

Step 4: Pick One New Habit

You don’t need to change everything at once.
Pick ONE small habit and practice it every day.

  • Drink a glass of water first thing in the morning
  • Move your body for 10 minutes a day
  • Go to bed 15 minutes earlier
Small steps lead to big results over time.

Step 5: Let Go of Perfect

Nobody’s perfect! You don’t have to be either.
If you miss a day or two, that’s okay. Just start again tomorrow.
What matters most is showing up for yourself, one small step at a time.
